Kristiane Schaefer
Kristiane Schaefer, Co-founder and Co-Director of the Collective Leadership Institute (CLI) has a focus on 'Leadership for Sustainability'. Since the foundation of CLI she has been expanding this strategic field and initiated several groundbreaking projects – such as the 'Young Leaders for Sustainability' Program.

Vera Fricke
Vera Fricke is Associate of the Collective Leadership Institute since 2007. She focuses on research and consultancy in the area of leadership for sustainability (e.g. publication for the ministry for the environment), public-private-partnerships (e.g. evaluation of PPP-project GTZ/ILO/VW), voluntary social and environmental standards (e.g. BMZ thematic evaluation) and Corporate Social Responsibility - CSR (e.g. consultancy of InWEnt conference: Human Rights and CSR).

Helga Lenz
Helga Lenz is responsible for organizational management and financing since 2008. Mrs. Lenz is a social economist and employee of the Humanist Union, where she supports the women´s and family information center. Thereby Mrs. Lenz is focusing on integration policy, fundamental social rights for refugees, freedom of assembly and the observation of demonstrations.
Gudrun Schneider-Farschid
Gudrun Schneider-Farschid holds a PhD in political science and has been working since 2002 in the department of Questions of Principle, EU and international affairs at the Federal Ministry of the Interior. She has been supporting the CLI as a board member since 2011.
Frank Appenzeller
Frank Appenzeller has more than 20 years of experience as a manager and CIO of one of the largest German car manufacturer as well as its subsidiary. As the CEO and managing director of INCOVIS AG, he is responsible for the consulting business in the areas of Sales & Marketing, Financial Services and IT since 2011. Mr. Appenzeller was elected as a member of the CLI board in 2011.
Ricardo Ikaka-Mata
Ricardo Ikaka-Mata, born in Equatorial Guinea, serves since 2011 as a managing director of the African Development Corporation (ADC) Financial Services & Corporate Development in Malabo. Before he worked as a management consultant and as the managing director of the E.ON Ruhrgas AG Malabo. Mr. Ikaka-Mata was elected as a member of the board in 2011.
Juergen Koch
Juergen Koch is Regional director of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH – International Service (GIZ IS) – Golf region office, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Since 2008 he is responsible for the regional consulting activities of the GIZ in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman. Mr. Koch has been board member since 2011.
The management board of CLI
The fulltime management of the board of the Collective Leadership Institute will be taken over by Petra Kuenkel and Kristiane Schaefer as her deputy. The new management board will act according to the regulations and decisions of the general meeting and will report on a regular basis. The management directors are members of the executive board.
